Hi, I had a leak over the weekend from the upstairs shower to the downstairs living room. I noticed that new chalking is needed upstairs. So I'm going to do that but what else should I look into? Also my ceiling downstairs had some plaster fall into the carpet- any suggestions for that? I know I could call someone but I'm trying to spend as little as possible so if I can do it myself I will. A few questions and we're on our way. Is this a custom tile shower or a manufactured enclosure?

I noticed that new chalking is needed Please explain! What needs to be caulked?
Until we locate the source of the leak use the tub and let the ceiling dry out.
