Hi,
Ken Robichaux of pictureshowman.com has pointed me to your site regarding my search for a particular Italian movie that I have seen years ago on Austrian TV, but can't recall its name:
I guess it must have been filmed sometimes in the 1970s or '80s in black & white, if I recall it correctly.
The film is about the first Italian election where they've used (American) computers for the voting process in federal elections.
I recall a scene where comatose and/or dead folks from a hospital or retirement home are wheeled in with whelchairs to the voting booths so that nuns can guide their hands to mark the box for christian democrate candidates. Italian TV is covering the elections, showing polls that over the course of the evening predict the outcome to favour the political left, so the TV producers start bringing in young singer/songwriters to play their protest songs...
At the end of the day, the computer declares the communist party winner of the elections. However, the central committee of the PCI is eventually disputing the outcome because they believe it to be a "capitalist conspiracy against the working classes".
Only thing I'm sure about this movie: it is definitely not part of the Don Camillo series.
Thanks in advance for your suggestion on which movie this could be.
