I have EXTREMELY thick coarse hair.. Every time I go to the salon, the stylist will even tell me I have the thickest hair they've ever washed/cut etc. I can't just point to a style in a magazine & get it because my hair is just not as easy as everyone else. It doesn't dry quick, it literally takes me about two hours to wash/dry/straighten it. I don't even wash it everyday anyway because of this & because (this is one of the good parts about it), my hair doesn't get oily ever. So actually the longer I wait to wash it the better it starts to look. But it's still impossible for me to find that style that fits my hair. Right now it's a little bit passed my shoulders but not by much & its all one length except for underneath in the back, it's a little shorter because I had my hair reallyyyyyy short last year & its still growing out. I know facial features have part to do w/the right cut, my face is oblong, my nose is somewhat big, not huge but your typical italian nose ;) I have olive colored skin. My hair is dark brown. Anyway... please help me find that perfect cut!! Thank you.

Would you consider chemically straightening ''relaxing'' your hair? It would make it a LOT easier for u to choose a hairstyle, you could have virtually any hairstyle u want :) if u do with a prominent nose and oblong face shape I recommend keeping width at the sides but flat on top and a nice textured cut loke this http://www.google.ie/imgres?imgurl=http://celebhairstyle.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/gwyneth-paltrow-hairstyle-bob.jpg&imgrefurl=http://celebhairstyle.wordpress.com/tag/face-shapes-hairstyle/&usg=__KGYC3sYqE7H71R-EZSqgQW46Dec=&h=420&w=333&sz=20&hl=en&start=0&sig2=jLXl1pp-FHL6kWcb06m1fQ&zoom=1&tbnid=cLH6uvP1BUh9tM:&tbnh=128&tbnw=107&ei=MOrWTIfLF4WUjAeQwrjGCQ&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dhairstyles%2Boblong%2Bface%26hl%3Den% 26biw%3D1366%26bih%3D677%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=1125&vpy=48&dur=394&hovh=252&hovw=200&tx=148&ty=126&oei=AOrWTLW_B5SDswbPnKWVCA&esq=5&page=1&ndsp=35&ved=1t:429,r:8,s:0

Hey I have the exct same hair as you! My hair used to be shoulder length and then I gre my length down so I had some weight holding me hair flatter, I still have choppy layers but I keep them long. I chemically straighten my hair but only once ever 6 months, and now I manage fine xxx

I will suggest you to go for the shoulder length haircut or the long hair hanging around the waist, but trimmed nicely, but it is tough to manage, as your hair is too think (which is nice, but) so cut it very short, at the most up to shoulders.
