Had a 28 day cycle tested from day 10 no signs of ovulation came on my period why would this happen?

I had my first proper period in July an came off the pill in may why do they say it could take up too six months is this to ovulate properly is that why the test was negative it did have a slight faint line on day 14 of the test?

Yes, for some women it may take several months for their cycles to become regular again.

You may have ovulated and just missed it (easy to do until you get the hang of using ovulation kits), or you might not be ovulating on a regular basis yet... although usually if you are having regular periods again, it is assumed you are most likely ovulating as well.

Will always have varying levels of the lutenizing hormone throughout your cycle, but just before ovulation there will be a rise. This is why, unlike a pregnancy test, a faint line is not a positive result. With an ovulation test, the line needs to be as dark or darker than the comparison line to be positive.

Sometimes you may need to start testing a few days before and keep testing for a few days later than what the test suggests. The tests go by the average of when to expect ovulation, but some women ovulate outside the norm. It will usually require using the test strips from two tests to cover the number of days necessary.
