We have been in our house for almost 9 years and never had we had this problem...
It started about a month ago in a bedroom upstairs it started to smell like sewage and could not figure out where it is coming from. So we called a plumber out to clean all the drains and still the smell was there. Then we called another plumber out to clean out our vent on the roof and still the smell. They put a smoke bomb down the vent to see if their was any leaks ( no leaks) and still the smell was here. Then the smell seamed to be coming from the vents so we had an H vac guy come out to clean all vents and still we have a bad smell. Also I should tell you the smell can be really bad at times and sometimes you can barely smell it... We had a service Master guy come out and he ran an infrared camera through our whole house.. no mold or anything leaking... Then he brought out a sniff machine of some sort to try and locate where the smell was coming from and it indicated it was coming from a basement wall. They thought it was a dead animal in the wall. So they put a camera down the wall and found nothing... They cut out some of our wall and found nothing. It seams to get worse when it rains or when we run the washing machine or dishwasher. We have already spent a lot of money trying to find the smell and we are at a loss... and so are the experts... If anyone could help or have heard of this we are disparate... Thanks
