I was married for 6 months, and had a 6 month engagement... don't even want to go there... question is... my rings are Tacori, $25,000 between my engagement (wore for one year) and wedding band (worn for 6 months)... is there a way to sell these, even though they are used?. OTHER than just selling them for the diamond and platinum value?

You could try putting an ad in the newspaper to try and sell them but since they are used jewelry you will never be able to recover the full retail value from the rings.

Jewelry has very poor resale value and is not a good investment generally because the retail markup is huge. You can try selling them on eBay, or take them to some estate jewelers and see what they would give you for them, or what they would recommend as a consignment price. Expect to get way, way less than the appraised value.

Unless the diamonds are of course investment grade, if they were 25,000 in a retail store, it is very possible that you may not get more than 10 to 25 percent of their sell value.
Even less if sold at pawn shops or even other retail stores

As noted a appraiser and try to advertise it on sales places like craigs list, local papers, and so on.

Thanks everyone! :) I've already had it appraised... I guess I'll try advertising and see if I get any bites. THANKS!
