So here is the deal I am a new DIYer and have come across something I can't seem to find an answer for.
I live in a home that was built in 1930. The toilet on the main floor of the house was leaking and the tank was cracked so I am trying to replace the whole toilet. I have replaced a toilet in other homes I have owned so this should have been no problem, right. But here is the problem... first off it seems the last person to have my house decided to jbweld the bolts. So I cut them to get the toilet out. When I cleaned off the wax ring I found that the closet ring is under the subflooring. Now without taking up the whole floor I can't seem to figure out how to get a new closet ring in. I really can not afford to redo the flooring at this time. I do plan to do a complete bathroom redo later this year but as I am a single mom of three that just got back to work after a bit of time money is beyond tight. Please someone tell me how to fix this.
