"I have an old (1970) electric drop-in (sub-floor) heater. This is a 220/30 volt heater with I believe 2 positive wires to it. The plug that goes into the receptacle on the finned heater is broken and should be replaced. I looked at the NEMA chart and a L2-30 appears correct but is no longer manufactured. I hate to just glue-up the dried out thermoplastic? Plug but can if I must. Is there anyway I can rewire a new plug to handle the 220 volt (I believe it is still only 15 amps for the heater) The plug is flat, not round and there is space on each side for the positive wires using a round hole spade connection. Anyone have an idea? Much thanks in advance.Tried to upload a photo (.jpg) of the plug - upload keeps failing - sorry. Pic shows the plug with side mounts for the spade connectors from the two positive wires (no ground)
