My periods have been irregular for a few months now. I may come on in the beginning of the month then the next month, I come on towards the middle. Is this normal?

Could depend on your age.

I'm only 19

I can have a period at the same time of eac month for say 6 or so months then I get 3 months of it all over the place if at all then it steadys out again its always been like it the contraception I used didn't help any that's for sure but that's just me we are all different and at 19 your body just might be changing to a different cycle and will steady out eventually.
But If you are really concerned then talk to your dr they will give you more reliable help.
