This past weekend my 14 years old beagle went a whole two days without eatting. He has done this in the past but it did not last two days. I took him for a walk and he was better and ate. This time I did the same took him for a walk and he drank water but he is not wanting to eat. He is losing weight. I have tried offering a numerous of things. I have made him soup, offered soft dog food, added warm water to his food, cooked him some ground beef with rice and veggies, and even cooked him some eggs. He has turned it all down. I don't know what else to do for him.

How is he acting other than not eating? Does he have any other symptoms?

It may be time to take him to the vet to have him checked out. There are many reasons a dog his age might stop eating including a sore tooth or just not feeling well.

Low energy but no change from what it has been. Had his teeth cleaned last year, vet does not want to do that again because he may not wake up. Has problem with his liver enzymes they are very high. Don't want for him to get 2 loose too much weight.

Have you tried cleaning his bowls? My dog won't eat out of his bowl if it's not clean. Also try feeding him from your hands, my friends dog wouldn't eat and she fed her from her hands and she ate.

I'd take the dog to the vet and get it checked out, it could be as simple as a sore tooth... Or it could be serious.
