I live in an apartment and dropped my ring in the toilette but haven't flushed.. however I can't find it. I've already tried using a coat hanger and have had no luck. Please help! I'm sitting by the toilette waiting for a response.

Do you have a small enough mirror you could dip in and see where it is, or if it isn't there at all?
Or did it flip into that smaller hole that is just for creating suction in the bowl..
D: That's so lame I hope you get it back! Make sure you don't flush it for sure and if you can't get it yourself maybe call a plumber? Or a friend who has small hands? If there are others in the house I'm pretty sure you can turn the water off to your toilet where it's pipes attach to the wall... just in case they try flushing it!

If it has not flused, you may be able to take the toilet up and empty it ( perhaps in the bathtub since you are in an apartment)

Get yourself a wet vac and suck the water out of the toilet trap. If you can't get the ring this way then taking up the toilet is the next step but it could be too late. If the ring ran down the front side of the bowl it could have slid past the trap and is gone.

I agree with Chuck and Bob. This should be as simple as getting your hands wet. DO NOT RUN WATER OR FLUSH! Your ring might have goine over the lip and is now laying in the boittom of the trap. You're just lucky you didn't flush or you could kiss your riong bye-bye. Either pull the toilet or suck it out with a wet vac. Good luck, Tom

Important: First, turn water supply to the toilet OFF. That way you won't accidentally flush the toilet

I suggest that you remove the toilet and flip it up side down in your tub. Ring should come out.

There is a built-in trap inside the bowl creating low spot. Heavy object, like ring, will sink to the bottom of that low spot and will remain there.

Let me know how you did... Back to you... Milo
