The birth will be registered regaudless. What does he think its going to do if you were prevented from doing it?

So you have no choice but to wait and see, most likely it is like the 100's of other threats that the baby daddy make, just trying to up set you or make you agree to something

As far as I know every birth HAS to be registered. Moreover, a birth certificate is a legal document and it is illegal to falsify it. So I really don't understand how he could stop it. At the most, he MIGHT be able to prevent his name being listed as the father pending a paternity test. But even that is unlikely as a court would be more likely to tell him to wait until the child is born, have a test then amend the birth certificate if he isn't the father. But it sounds like he isn't questioning that.

In my experience, fathers make all sorts of threats towards the mother and they are almost always empty.

Yer I'm in the UK. Well I won't be able 2 put him name on the birth certificate because he would need to be there to have his name on there, but he won't be there when I go register it.

Not necessarily. I would check with the registrar or the hospital where you plan on giving birth. They should tell you the requirements for completing a birth certificate.

If you are not married, he would have to be there or do proper forms to be included, if he is not there, and will not do the required forms, you record it, but he will not be listed in any way on it. ** you can go back latter to add him if so needed.
