How about posting what you tried so far? You received answers to your previous threads and you didn't come back to reply to the people helping you...

Most of the questions I post on here I just need to see how to start them, they are most likley for homework and I have dial up so I don't bother posting my final answers since that would take way too much time that isn't needed, thanks anyway.

You might as well type them on word for example before going online and copy paste everything in one go. Then, you don't any more spend time with dial up, but instead, you save more time since you already pre-wrote the questions and your attempts.

If we just deliver you the solutions like that, what are you going to do? Most people just copy the solution down, and often didn't know why such and such steps were taken. Or, they think they understand on seeing the solution and when the time comes where they are put to test, they have already forgotten how and why they took such and such step for solving.

If the sidewalk is 1m wide then:

side of the pathway=side of lawn+2m
or
p=L+2

The areas are the same:

A=a

A=(L+2)^2-L^2

a=L^2

(L+2)^2-L^2=L^2

It should be simple from here. You can use the quadratic formula or graph it in you calculator and find the x-intercept

I already answered her other thread which was the same question. Sorry! It would be nice for a response to answers and maybe some follow up questions if you don't fully understand the steps! Especially for experts because they spend a good amount of time answering these.
