The moen extensa (10 yrs old) handle won't stay on, it justs slides right back down

Open the link below will give you an idea, the plug tighten the screw see if it will help, if not remove the screw and the handle inspect the slot of the handle and the where it attaches to the cartridge for any damage if see any thing you need to replace the cartridge and the handle may be, also I will suggest to call Moen at 800-289-6636 explain your problem they will send the required part for free no charge to you, good luck.
