I am hearing a dripping only behind the wall of my shower. It is not happening only when I flush or run the water, it is happening way too much. It started a couple of weeks ago with only hearing it a little bit, I would go to the spot several times a day and check it, sometimes I would hear it, sometimes I wouldn't. But last night the noise was louder and more severe. I woke up this morning and it is still at the same intensity as last night. THere is no moisture, so that is a good thing, but the noise is really getting to me. DOes anyone know what that could be? Additional info, it is late Oct in Chicago, the weather hasn't been too cold yet, lowest 50's, so I don't know if it has to do with the weather. And if it does, what is going to happen when it gets -2 degrees?

You piggybacked on a dead thread so I started one for you.
More details please!
Is the shower located on a slab or is it on a upper level?

It is not happening only when I flush or run the water. When you run what water? Every faucet or just some? Describe the noise in detail.
Could it be a tapping noise instead of a drip? Do you hear it more when you run hot or cold? Back to you, Tom

As of right now it is a constant dripping or swirling water kind of noise. I sounds like it is underneath the drain in the tub. It has been constant since at least last night and it is driving me crazy, it is pretty loud also.

THe shower is located on a slab. I am on the first floor of a 2 unit split level home and I just asked the neighbors and they are not hearing any of the same noises.

Do me a favor and poi[p the lid on your toilet. Where's the water level? Is it 1/2" beneath the white 9overflow tube or is it closer then that? Let me know, Tom
