A lot of times people (and children especially teens) experience feelings such as sadness, hopelessness, and doubt. This can effect one's eating and sleeping. This can be signs of depression or I tmay not. You should find someone to talk to whether it is or it isn't. Even grown ups can have feelings they can't manage. Try too do this soon so that your confidence is not being effected. There are places to go for this and some don';t cost anything. Have your mom look help

I had the same problems when I was a kid. Especially when I was in school. I had to all the lights off and have the house soundless before I went to sleep. I think I was in this phase because I thought about my worries with friends at school and other events. Over time it all just fades away and sooner or later it will. Try listening to soft music while your in bed. It worked for me

Anything from music to exercise will help you focus and allow you to sleep. You shouldn't worry about conversations or anything that you might have made a mistake on because life goes on. People will forgive and forget. Trying doing small hobbies.

Try to clear your head of everything before you go to bed.
Exercise is also helpful. Tire the body so the mind can rest. A nice long walk, or writing all your worries in a journal to get it out of your head.
I think to some extent we all go through this when we're younger. Sometimes when we're older too. It's learning how to get the negative thoughts out, realize that what's done is done and you can't change it, you can only change tomorrow, will help.
Try not to eat too much right before bed. A nice cup of warm milk (sounds cheezy and old fashioned but it works) with a drop or two of honey can help relax you too.
