Yesterday my Ipod started being fidgety, and froze during a song. When I tried holding menu and middle buttons, it rebooted with the apple logo and screen upside down and inverted. After having that happen a few times, I waited about half a day and it rebooted right-side up. I thought I would be able to solve that from happening by restoring the iPod. I restored the Ipod, and then started the sync process, but when it got to the 455th song the syncing wasn't going anywhere. Itunes was completely frozen, and after closing it, Itunes wouldn't start again until I rebooted the computer. After having done that and getting itunes back up, my Ipod was showing up as "corrupted, needs restore". When I tried to do this, I got error message 1439 saying "Ipod cannot be restored: error 1439."
Sine then I haven't been able to get it working. It was labeled "Devon's Ipod" before, and now shows up as simply "Ipod" or as it says in My Computer: "Removable Disk."
I have been reading forum after forum on the subject and can't get anywhere with it. I tried reinstalling the required .DLL files, and completely reinstalling Itunes. I have rebooted the iPod with menu and middle buttons many times. When I go to My Computer to format it, a message is displayed telling me it cannot be formatted.
I have rebooted my computer 3 times, and tried using my laptop instead. It won't let me restore it...
PLEASE lend me any wisdom you may have on the matter, I love listening to music, and use it to watch movies on TVs all the time. My Ipod is an 80 GB Classic, about 2 years old. I've never run into problems with it until now, and have no idea what to do.
Thank you all in advance :-D
