I think is goes between two eras. It is kind of a mystery of a girl who was sent away from her family to marry a man. Her brother after years comes to visit with his new wife all of the family is murdered and it remained a mystery for years. It ended up being the girl she was molested by her brother and was caught by their mother so she was sent away so she would not shame the family. She was in love with her brother. It was set back in the 1800's I think. Movie about the house being haunted I think any ideas?

shaltra, I remember this movie. Two story lines were weaved throughout the film. The modern one where the main character investigated the old murders was forgettable but the older story of the murders was very, very compelling. You don't easily forget a twist ending of a sister being in love with her brother! The movie was The Weight of Water.
