I have a large "loft" with closet and bathroom behind closet. Want to turn closet (and part of toom) into layndry room.area. Can I tie into bath plumbing and anyone know how?

Yes you can tap into the bathroom supply lines but the drains will be a bigger issue. You will need to open part of the floor in both rooms. Are you willing to do that plus pull a permit?

Can you do it? Probably. How do you do it? Without any idea of where the various lines and vents run it is hard to give advise. You will most likely have to remove the drywall to start and then a picture or diagram of what is there would help. Water supply is not usually a problem, drains and vents can be. If there is a vent line in the wall and your location allows wet venting it shouldn't be too hard. You may need to use an Air Admittance Valve(AAV) for the sink venting.

You will need to plan on connecting into the toilet branch drain and run a 2" pipe over to pick up the new laundry drain. You'll need to install a 2" ptrap and run an 1.5" vent and connect it into an 1.5" or larger vent at a minimum of 42" off the finish floor or install an AAV as mentioned by ma0641. You CANNOT, however, wet vent a washing machine drain line as the volume/velocity of the draining water can siphon out the trap of the other plumbing fixture.

You could also run a 2" drain from downstairs if you don't want to mess with the bathroom plumbing. You could even run a couple PEX water lines up if you want... real quick here, actually!

You'll need to run the electric up from downstairs and plan on setting the dryer nearest to the outside wall if possible to make installing the dryer vent easier.

You may also want to consider a washing machine pan to keep any water that drips or spills from damaging the floor. Flood control via floodsafe shutoffs should also be considered since the unit is upstairs. Finally, braided stainless steel hoses are a must for all washing machine installations.
