Roy Halladay threw a no hitter last night. Only the second person to ever throw one in the post season or World series. Were you a witness?

Afraid not, an awesome feat though. Were you a witness?

I watched the whole game. It was too late to catch all the Yank game.
A fiction novelists could not have written a better story . After years of trying ,he pitches his 1st post season game and tosses a no-hitter .
The Phillies scare me this year. They clearly have the best team in baseball.
When I was a kid ,my friend and his father went to Shea Stadium on father's day and watched Jim Bunning mow down the Mets.
Just some cold water on the Doc no hitter... it was in the post season and he gave up a walk... 28 up, 27 down... almost perfect . Don Larson threw a perfect game in a World Series game. Not to diminish Halliday's effort ,it was an awesome display. I just think for continuity World Series records should have their own separate place . There are too many "post season "records being set because of the expanded format of the post season.

I watched the entire game on TV it was awesome. I agree Tom World Series stats should be a different class off records from the post season. The only thing that scares me with the Phillies is all of a sudden their bats will go silent and this is not the time of year for that to happen. Game 2 is Tomorrow and I have free tickets in the second deck first row right behind home plate!!

Right now it's 6-0 Rangers over the Rays, bottom of the 7th, on the way to win no. 2. Could this be the year a Dallas team doesn't choke?

Rays made a mistake pitching James Shields in game 2 . I think it would be hard for the Rangers not to advance.
This year I'm not taking anything for granted . But I think the Yanks will go back to the series . It will be a refreshing change to rout for the underdog .

I'm not getting too excited, all Dallas teams seem to know how to rock the regular season and phone it in for the playoffs.

The Rangers are on the verge of a monumental choke. No matter who wins tomorrow's game 5 ,that team will have used their ace and will not be able to use him in game one of the LCS.
Phillies look like a steamroller .nuff said .
Did some research on the Larson perfect game. 3 times in the game he could've lost it.
Jackie Robinson in the 2nd inning hit one that bounced off Yankee third baseman Andy Carey’s glove directly to Gil McDougald, who threw out Robinson on a close play at first.
In the 5th inning Gil Hodges hit a liner that Micky Mantle made a running back handed stab at.The next batter , Sandy Amoros nearly broke it up along with the shutout when hit one out of the park... slightly foul ,curling at the last second on the wrong side of the fair pole. Umpire Ed Runge held up his thumb and index finger and said, “That much.”
I don't recall anything that close in the Halliday no-hitter .
