Getting snow blower ready for winter. I put in a new plug and thing won't start put the old plug back in and it still won't start. It started at the end of last year. Checked the gap, its correct. Found out if something doesn't start its no gas or no spark.I think its getting gas because I saw some drip when I was trying to pull start after priming a number of times but not sure if that means there is a problem and not just some dripped out when I tilted it to start it? Can I pull the plug for the key and jump wire the two ends and give it a try to bypass the key? What would be the next thing to do. Check for spark with an in line spark tester. I kind of remember from years back you pull the plug and ground it to something and if you see spark its getting spark, can't completely remember? I figured since it does not have an electric start to pull start it and check for spark would best be done with an inline tester, for simplicity? If I have no spark how do I check that its below the spark plug in the points or what ever else there is? One last thought, should I get some start to spray in the plug I kind of remember that being an option at times to get something to start. I wanted to figure the options before I go but something.
