I am buying a used car and do not want errors ! I have a DBA ,I am the sole proprietor of my business and want the title of this car in my business name on the title where to sign the buyers name do I sign my name or print my business name ?

The title holder is the business. Any signatures are yours representing the business.

Please understand, DBA does not take away any liability from you, only a corporation can do that. So you will still be personally liable for the car in a DBA.

The car title will be in the business name. You sign your name as owner of the business, normally there is a space for "title"

They key for tax purposes isn't the name on the title but proving you used it for business.

I don't see that as the question.

I'm in NY - I could not title my car as a dba because I couldn't get insurance in the name of the dba.
