About a month ago my wife and I noticed a lower flow at the faucets... not a huge amount lower, but I'd say 20-25% lower flow rate. I called out my water company and they tested my water flow at my front outside spiggot at my house... problem is they were testing it BEFORE my pressure-reducing valve, so they thought my water pressure was 120. Not so... at my back spiggot (which of course is after my PRV), the pressure is showing 80PSI... still a little high but not that bad. Now I've noticed when my wife flushes the back toilet sometimes I will hear a little bit of pipe banging or hammering going on.

Low flow, possibly a little bit of high pressure and some banging is essentially what I have... could that just be the PRV needing to be replaced? Thanks!

Tell us a little more about your home. How old? What material are the water pipes? Copper, plastic or galvanized? *0 PSI is at the top end of a homes pressure range. Unless you have a volume problem with undersized or pipes blocked with mineral build up this should be more then enough house pressure for you. Answer my questions and I'll get back with a answer.
