a dart gum is fired while being held horizontally at height of 1.09m above ground level,and at rest relative to the ground.the dart from the gun travel a horizontal distance of 4.27m.a child holda the samne gun in a horizonyal position while sliding down a 27.6 degree incline at a constant speed of 3.09m/s.what horizontal distance x will be dart travel if the child fires the gun forward when it is 0.851m above the ground?

Here are your steps:

1. determine the time it takes for the dart to hit the ground when fired horizontally from a height of 1.09 m. This comes from d = 1/2gt^2, or t = sqtr(2 x 1.09/9.8)

2. The horizontal velocity is then v = 4.27m/t

3. Determine the horizontal and vertical components of the child's movement on the slide.

4. Determine the time it takes for the dart to hit the ground when fired horizontally from a height of 0.851m when given an initial downward velocity as determined in step 3 .

5. Determine how far the dart travels horizontally during the time you calculated in step 4, given an initial horizointal velocity equal to the sums of step 2 plus step 3.
