This is a very old movie- black & white. I saw it 30 years ago while babysitting. And I think I saw it more than once. There was a husband & wife and I believe the husband was in the army because he would be home for awhile and then have to leave for a period. Anyway he purchased a board game and brought it home for his wife. I only remember that one of the pieces was a wooden heart shaped piece. The husbands best friend came to visit the couple and stayed for a while. Then the husband had to go back to wherever and the friend stayed on. I'm not sure if the wife and friend had an affair or if it was leading to one but the friend was killed by the wife either accidentally or on purpose. In a panic she dumps the body down a ravine that she had to drive past going to town. The wife is afraid of what will happen when the body is found, but it seems like she gets away with it until- I don't know if the body was found with the game piece but I do remember that the husband played the board game and noticed the heart piece was missing, and he figured out the rest. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? It would be a movie from the 40's or 50's I'm guessing.
