Why did you not do the pre opt ? Will it be reset for tomorrow perhaps, did you call when you could not make it and reschedule.

Since it is not an emergency c-section, they may just reschedule it for a bit later if they are not able to get you in in the next few days.

OK because my actual due date is oct 5th in a way I'm hoping I go in labor by Friday so that I am not so worried about it

First don't use the comment feature to post replys, that is against site rules.

Also if you do not provide complete info, we can not give a complete answer

But again, no one here is a mind reader as to what your hospital or doctor will do or will not do. A phone call can solve that issue.

As would a call when you knew you could not come

I do all of my pre op's the morning of the scheduled section. The doctor sends me his prenatal records about a month or so before the due date. Patient comes to me approximately 2-3 hours prior to scheduled section. That's when pre ops are done.

Would they want you to go into labour on your own? What is the reason for the scheduled c-section?

Reason for a scheduled section is typically because it is either a repeat section or position of the baby.

I know you know this already Doula, just clarifying for the OP.

Pre ops can actually be done in less than an hour. So there shouldn't be any problem with time constraints there.
