I am trying to find out which is the inlet, and which one is the outlet

I can't draw anything up on the web on this filter but most of them have little arrows marking the direction of flow. Didn't a installation sheet come with it? Can you contact the seller for information? Good luck, Tom

Hi Rayliebelt:

Here is a line drawing of a commandomatic sediment filter. I can't say if it is the FS30, but hopefully close enough to get you going.

The picture shows that the inlet is on top and the oulet is on the bottom.

One way to confim this is to check that the inlet has a shutoff. Most of the time inlets into appliances/fixtures have shutoffs.

The picture also shows a diagram for backwashing the unit.

Hope that answered your question. If you want to discuss, let me know, OK?

Mark
