I have lived in my home for 13 years and haven't seen frogs here. In the past 2 to 3 months I had constantly retrieved them from my pool. I have been finding them in my kitchen, in the bathroom on my toilet seat and even in the toilet bowl. I have looked around for any type of hole they might be coming in from, but there is no entrance for them. This is freaking me out, especially when I need to go use the toilet. I'm constantly having to lift the seat now to look for them before I sit down. I live alone except for my pets. What is causing this weird event and how can I stop it?

What part of the world do you live in? Frogs have been declining until the last year or two, but they seem to be on the upswing again. Have you had more rain in the past year, especially the last six months, than recent norms?

Another possibility would be entering from an unsealed field line if you have a septic tank system.

Well assuming this is a pest control not a mental health issue, sorry but just thinking of seeing frogs all the time, for the person not seeing them, it does sound funny.

What in the area has been changing, has something in the local eco system changed, ponds drained, drought in area, have you changed some land design, Perhaps a new housing development that may have displaced the frogs.

Have you discussed this with your neighbors as to if they are having the same issue

I live in the southern part of Kentucky. Nothing has disturbed the mostly rural land here. There isn't and hasn't been any ponds around near me. It hasn't rained here in quite a while now. The only neighbor I have is the fire dept. I asked the fire chief if they have been constantly seeing frogs inside the dept.
I have to admit they looked at me as if I were mental (and no, I'm not mental) after I told them what has been happening and where I have found the frogs. I don't kill frogs, so I have been catching them and putting them back outside. I know to someone else, unless they have experienced this type of stuff would assume this was a mental case. So if there is some sort of an answer, PLEASE, tell me?

Check to see if your septic system is working properly. Your drain field may be the only source of moisture they have. I have family in East Tennessee and they're about 12 inches below normal rainfall. A wading pool with a couple of inches of water in it may keep them from coming inside your house. I'd place it at least 50 feet away if possible.
