Our central a/c unit compressor causes the breaker to randomly shut off, the fan still blows, we have to go the breaker box and flip it back on and it comes back on fine and cools and then it will randomly do it again. Anyt thoughts on why this is happening?

Could be weak circuit breaker OR the A/C unit is drawing too much current OR the wiring is loose. You will need an Amprobe tool for this job.

Depends upon the year of the a/c, plus the age of the breaker. The compressor in the a/c may be getting tired causing the LRA to be extremely high, or the breaker could be old and getting weak. There are also about 1,000 other possibilities.
