I live in nyc houseing and I have been on disabilaty for seven years every year ihave to submit proof of income to houseing athouirty. And for fourteen years I have.all of a sudden I hacve a problem with my new houseing assitance telling me that I'm NOT RECEIVEING DISABILTY. ALL SO TELL,S ME THAT SHE CALLED TO SSI AND THEY TOLD HER I NO LNGER ON SSI. THEN SHE SENT MY CASE TO 250 BRODWAY FOR TERMANTION. CAN I SUE DEFLAMATION AND HERRASMEANT

Neither. There is no defamation here at all. As for harassment, you would have to prove that the clerk knew that you were still on SSI and deliberated put you in for termination.
This should be pretty simple. Get a statement from SSI showing you are still on disability and forward copies to the clerk, their supervisor and the termination people.

First, there are rules about language on this site.
Second, we pride ourselves on the accuracy of the advise we give. Whether the clerk as nice or not does not matter here. Legally there was nothing to show defamation or harassment. Please don't answer questions like this based on sentiment.

Many possibles from typo on social, mistaken for someone else, error in your file.
And since when are government housing people nice and pleasant ?

I agree. This could be a case of identity theft and needs to be looked into. If someone is working under the OP's SS number then the disability would stop when the limit is reached. And all benefits would stop.
To OP:
You need to look into all of this including getting credit reports on yourself from all the agencies and make sure your not a victim of indentity theft. It happens every day.
