I don't know about love at first sight, but you can be drawn to a person and start falling for them immediately. If anything, the sight of them sets up a possibility for love, so all you have to do is be brave and go for it... hope this helps :)

In my case, yes.
It was love at first sight but then after breakup, it felt a life time to forget him... lol... if I do the maths... my eyesight must have been weak!

My mistake, it is confusing. What I wanted to say was that once I fell for love at first sight. I didn't know much about him. He was not a decent person to fall for. Then breaking up was very difficult & then the memories haunted me for years.

From my experience love at first sight didn't bring me any good. It would have been much better if I tried to know the person but I was young & naïve. Other people might have good experience.

Sorry to hear then :(
I did get to know this guy as well as fall for him so quickly but he treated me awful sometimes and then other times he would treat me like a princess.. he would break up with me and then come back to me it was a form of abuse.. yet I still loved him .
By the way I'm 16 and he's 17 he also has a kid with a different girl who he has now gone back to. He doesn't love her though he's usuing herr x

Life has so much to offer. I am not saying that my world is pink & perfect. I am also in a difficult situation at the moment but I have come to realize that I should do perhaps 100 things that I would like doing rather than feeling blue.

I know it hurts & you would want things to be otherwise. You are young & your youth will help you surf on difficult situations. I would say let this 17 year grow & realize because he has too many things to be responsible for.

Do you have dreams of your own? Not like falling in love & marrying the Mr.Perfect or Sir Good-Enough but something like, going on travelling, or starting up a collection, or going abroad for studies. Just my opinion, I think saing & making plans to travel with friends to places you only heard of, could be productive.

There are so many people waiting outside to meet you, to get to know you. You must have something that you are good at, you can polish that. I would suggest, love yourself. We spend our most precious years of teenhood loving others but when we reach our twenties we still find ourselves loving others, I think it would be worthy to love yourself, explore your abilities & work on your dreams. Wish you best of luck!

To answer your question, I believe attraction at first sight exists. Love is different. I don't think you can truly fall in love with someone until you begin to know them, until you love who they are, not what you think they are.

That's just my opinion. Doesn't mean that someone you're instantly "in love" with isn't the one you're with forever, just means that you can't know a person well enough, instantly, to love them.

Lust at first sight, because real love has nothing to do with looks anyway.

Yes. I have experienced that but sad things didn't work out. It's a great feeling and something that makes you so sure about certain things. It's kind of hard to explain. I'll say it's better felt than explained.
