Our gas water heater will not stay lit. I'm continuously going outside to relight the pilot. Now, I figured it might have been the thermocoupler but now I'm not so sure. My reason for saying that is because the pilot lights without a problem and will stay lit... but once the temperatur gets up high it goes out again... now if I turn relight it, go away and come back a little while later before it reaches temp, I find that it's still burning away happilly, if I get down there and turn the thermostat down till the main jet goes out, the pilot stays lit! Put the cover back on, go inside and figure all is well until later that night one of the kids starts screaming that there is no hot water and sure enough, another adventure outside finds a stone cold burner..

Thoguhts?

Or thoughts even? Hehe

Ray.

BTW, should mention, this is in Australia.
