This is getting really annoying. Every day my friend has been calling me lately. Today I got really mad and told her I was busy and I think she caught on that I was mad and she apologized and hung up. Then I remembered it was her b-day and called her back. She accepted my apology and told me not to feel bad. But I know that she'll still call tomorrow anyway. Today she called the instant I got home from school, and she'd called twice before that! It's getting really annoying because I know she might not have anything to do because she's home schooled, but I always have something that has to be done and I can't waste 24/7 on the phone with her. What should I do?

Be like my phone bill is going up cause you keep calling me so try not to call as much something like that?

How old are you and how old is your friend?

Agree to talk with her by phone at a certain time and maybe every other day, say, for a half hour at 7 p.m. after you eat supper and before you start homework. You have chores, shopping, family time, homework, etc. so your phone time is limited. If nothing else, tell your mom about this, so you can honestly tell your friend that your mom is now limiting your phone time while school is in session. You must set boundaries, so you can continue to be friends and not always be mad at each other.

Have you told her it's a problem? She can't know it annoys you if you don't say anything.

You don't have to tell her it's annoying but go with what WonderGirl said and either set a time to talk to each other or tell her when you're done with everything you need to do you'll give her a call.
