By and large they're called "Scientists." Although several have lived there several years, their citizenships are elsewhere.

They are called INUIT. Which means 'indians not under indian treaty'. By the way, it isn't quite anarctica, but close enough.

Tick,

All the Inuit tribes I'm aware of live in the Arctic areas rather than the Antarctic.

Hi, miimii!

Do you mean if there was an indigenous population there?

Thanks!

Hi Clough, I assumed that is what OP meant, so answered INUIT. I could not have assumed otherwise. What else could OP mean ?

Here's the correct answer: Antarctica - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antarctica#Population)

People who live in Antactica are called "visitors." Many are researchers and support staff, but there are also tourists who visit Antarctica. As Catsmine pointed out, there are no citizens of Antarctica, so living there is purely temporary.

Hi, tickle!

I didn't know. That's why I asked.

Without us knowing further information, an original poster could possibly have any number of reasons for asking a question.

Thanks!
