Aluminium sink? Could it be stainless steel? Could be welded but probably not worth it. Best to replace. Might be able to make temporary repair with epoxy.

Harold nailed it on all counts. You have a stainless steel sink. I never heard of one being holed before. How did it happen and how big is the hole? Back to you, Tom

I used a product that can fix aluminum with just a simple torch. It fixed my boat and did a pretty good job. Alumaloy, aluminum repair forum: Will alumaloy perform an aluminum boat repair? (http://alumaloy.org/forum/post-2.htm)

Derrick Bradshaw was even very helpful with everything.

Aluminum Repair: Aluminium Repair, Aluminum Repair Rods, Aluminum Welding: Aluminum Brazing (http://www.alumaloy.org)

They also make stuff for cast iron and steel.

Steel Repair: Stainless Steel Repair, Steel Repair Rods, Stainless Steel Welding (http://www.steelaloy.com)

Cast Iron Repair: Cast Iron Repair, Cast Iron Repair Rods, Cast Iron Welding, Castiron Repair (http://www.castaloy.com)

The castaloy site is giving out free stuff! I already liked them with my Facebook account to get in line for some. I want to try and repair an old cast iron pot my mom has.

Hi Avnendra,
Thanks for the imput. I'm saving your information in my data base.
However, since Stainless Steel Sinks are so inexpensive It's cheaper to replace then to repair.
Regards, Tom
