I am having problems hooking up my older Toshiba TV (model 20AF43) with my Daytek DVD player (model DVK200IS). I know that both products work as the DVD player is lit up and will open and close and the TV is registering but there is no video output (just the 'snow' screen). I have the red, yellow and white cables hooked up and even went and bought an S-video cable to connect the TV and DVD player but still no luck. Any suggestions?

YOu are sure you aren't using Red Green Blue jacks instead of the Composite vide, left and right channel audio jacks.
And if you use the S-video you usually have to program the DVD player to send vidio to that port as they don't by default. Mine don't anyway.
If you are seeing "snow" you haven't changed the TV to line or Aux input, You don't get "snow" from the AUX inputs... only a tuner.

It appears that the problem is that I am unable to change my TV to VIDEO input as there is no button on my TV. Do you know if it is possible to buy a universal remote or cord to fix this?

Have you tried to locate a replacement remote of the correct type via the internet?
Many universal remotes don't provide full functionality on some things.
Just Google up the TV make and model along with remote control.
