Hi... I'm only 15 and I lost my virginity a couple of days ago. Unprotected. I don't actually know for sure if I am pregnant or not because like I said it was only a couple of days ago. I just have a strong feeling that I am. I'm 100% against abortion. I have a part time job and so does the guy I slept with. We are still in a happy relationship and he is more then willing to help support me and a child. My real question is how do I tell my parents? I also have a mild form of depression which I take a small pill for... will that affect a pregnancy?

Hun,

I'm sorry but plain and simple you should not have sex until you understand your cycle and how pregnancy occurs. That being said, the deed has been done so I will help you the best that I can.

You will not be able to tell if you are pregnant until you have missed a period. That is when a HPT (home pregnancy test) will be the most accurate. You should tell your parents ASAP so they can not only help you if you are pregnant, but get you some birth control if you are pregnant or not. If you plan to continue having sex, you should also buy prenatal vitamins and start to see a Gynecologist for regular exams if you aren't already. The prenatals are meant to help decrease your baby's chance of birth defects if you do become pregnant unexpectedly. (Many of these birth defects occur before you can even know you're pregnant which is why taking prenatal vitamins is important before you concieve).

I know this all may seem a bit bothersome, but if you're going to take part in the adult action of sex, you'll need to act like an adult and protect your health and that of any children should you become pregnant.
