I remember reading somewhere there is a specific chemical that binds to the pain receptors on our toungues that gives curry its spicy flavour.

I know that capsaicin is the chemical in chili's that make it spicy.

And this site is not for helping people avoid doing their homework as is very frequently the case. And this is very obviously a homework question by someone who doesn't want to review their textbook.
