Harbor breeze rci-107 remote

Turn off power to the receiver either by turning off the light switch that controls the fan/light or at the breaker. Within 30 seconds of turning it back on, press the button inside the batter cover of the remote marked LEARN. That's it!

This did not work. Any other suggestions?

Are you sure the dip switches are both set with the same code setting.
