I drove my 88 honda civic four door (dual injection) it stalled from no gas, shut off, I got gas for it, put gas in it and tried to start it, now it just cranks but it doesn't turn on. It has fuel and spark. I keep hearing about checking the main relay, it clicks, the fuel pump comes on. But it still doesn't want to start any help is appreciated

If you had fuel and spark it should start. How did you confirm it was getting fuel? Wet spark Plugs?

Just because tank has fuel doesn't mean its making it to the injectors. If you frequently drove the car with the tank near empty you may have cooked the fuel pump. They rely on being submerged in fuel for cooling, and get hot if they aren't. That leads to an early death of the pump.

Just an FYI... if the main realay stuck, which does happen, you won't have fuel and spark. In fact, typically it won't crank at all.

Ensure the gas tank has more than a token amount of gas in it. Then, turn the ignition switch to ON (Position II) until the fuel pump stops running. Now, turn the ignition switch OFF. Repeat this procedure at least 3 times. This should pressurize the fuel rail and allow the engine to start, when you finally turn the ignition switch to START.
