Building a new home. Have a 200 amp meterbase and disconnect on backer board appox. 175 feet from home. Do I run 3 wire or 4 wire to house breaker box? They have a 3 wire service cable coming out of basement breaker box to a outside junction box. I don't want the junction box. I want to direct wire it. Thanks.

The feeder from the meter/disconnect must be four wire to the panelboard.
The three wire from the panelboard to the junction box must be removed, as the panel must be wired with the four wire feeder from the meter.
Sounds like the panel was wired with 3 wire in assumption of having the meter with no disconnect directly on the home. I assume there is a Main Breaker currently in the panel.

That is what I thought. I'm running 4 wire from disconnect to panel directly and do away with junction box on house and go directly in through wall with LP's. Does the 4 wire from disconnect to house need to be in conduit under ground or just on the "up feeds" to LP and disconnect?
