I use utorrent on an Apple IBook G4 and for some reason my download speed is very slow.
I'm getting an average of about 69.7kb/s on utorrent, but when I go to speedtest.net it says my download speed is 5.31 Mb/s. Another thing I have noticed is that I am only connected to about 6 out of 93 seeds while on this particular download (legal :o)).
If anyone can give me some advice on this, it would be greatly appreciated; I am trying to get things sorted out for when I go to University in a few weeks and would like to be done before I go because the wifi speeds at Uni will be terrible.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this :o)

Since you seem to understand what is going on. The fact that it is a multithread download effects your speed but syncing on the lowest speed. Another thing is with that bandwidth your almost never going to use it in any one download from anywhere. Most cap out and for good reason. Something else you may not have considered is that your ISP may be capping you because your using it too much. This is a new trend and is unspoken word in the industry even as we speak. Capping occurs even on "unlimited" accounts. Go figure. So you need to examine all the things going on and make tests from several sites to get the real picture.

Also get yourself a good trace program and see what latency your experiencing.
