I've been dating this guy for 2 months. And I don't know if its time to break up. My friends don't like him. I don't know why but he's the nicest guy I know. And a lot of people at school doesn't like him either... I still like him but I don't know how people are going to treat me when I go back to school. I sound really selfish. But I still like him. What should I do? p.s sorry if this is so confusing... p.p.s I'm going into the 8th grade

Honey follow your heart, don't listen to anyone also make sure u payattention in school cause when you're an adult real men perfer a smart independent women so if you boyfriend lets you do you school work and don't distract you then by all mean do what your heart tells you not other people!

Your still too young to be dating. You really need to concentrate on your studies. As you mature you will find out tha others may always be critical of things your doing for various reasons. You will have to stand up and make your own decisions. But seriously middle school is too young for dating. What are your parents telling you?

I think that if you really like him, stay with him. As long as he doesn't hurt you in any way. I'm in Middle School too, and by Best Friend has pretty much gone through the same thing, but she broke up with him, and they ended up getting back together the next year. So, don't listen to what other people say! Good Luck :)

Concentrate on school. The boys can wait.

You are way to young to date.
Concentrate on your grades and leave the boys alone.

You're going into High School next year and your parents may let you date then.

If you like him it doesn't matter what anyone thinks. I liked a boy that people made fun of. I listened to everyone else, and now he is a Calvin Klein model... I could have dated a Calvin Klein model!

I don't care if he is The King of England, she is too young to date. If you are going to give advice read the ages of the "children" here. She is going into 8th grade. That means she's 11 or 12. TOO YOUNG TO DATE!!

You can date as long as your parents allow it.

I think it's OK to "date" in middle school. I don't mean kissing and being out alone with a boy but talking, texting, and practicing conversation skills for the future. If you still like him and he still likes you then don't break up with him. You shouldn't care what people think. Goodluck :)

Look I am in middle school and I know middle school dates don't last long like but there some times that kind of relationship but I think you you shouldn't break up with him or try asking your friends why they don't like him and then ask him "i am a guy but you know guys like a girl a lot more if they know all the facts before they do something.

Oh gosh you guys. First, if you are going into 8th grade, you are usually 13. Second, don't listen to anybody's advice. They might even want you to break up with him because they might have a crush on him. As long as you like him, don't break up with him. You will regret it later.

Honestly your not being selfish. Your just having mixed emotions. I say you should stay with him, even if your best friends tell you not. Ask them y they don't like hiim and maybe you could prove them wrong or talk it over with him. Hope this helped! Good luck!! :)

Well I don't think you should go out with a mean guy. Make him suffer the pits of hell in 80 or so years and enjoy heaven with your nice husband. Ps don't let him **** you!

Sometimes it is hard. Your friends lead u 1 way and he leads you the other... don't listen to your friends because if they are telling you to break up with a guy that you love, even if they don't like him, then they probably rnt true friends.

As most of the others have said, just follow your heart. It will most likely lead you to the right place. Do what YOU feel is right, not what others think is right. I can tell you one thing, you are definitely not too young to date. All adults think you are but you aren't. They don't understand that middle school kids can have real feelings for each other. But a word of caution, don't let him take over your entire life. School is important too you know(: But you can concentrate on both. Trust me, I have done it.

You have a super tough decision here. What people will think of you, or your dream guy. But its not life or death so just remember that when you make your decision. You can make new friends, or you can date him when your friends date guys that you think are stupid. Good luck!! 😄

My parents don't really care as long as he isn't going to hirt me, and our parents are really close.

If you really like him, stay with him because I had the same problem, and my friends kind of just forgot about it because they know I really like him.

The original question is almost 3 years old... I'm fairly sure it's all worked out by now.

Who cares what other people think about your boyfriend? It's your decision, not theirs. If you like him then you go right on ahead and date him.

Middle school kids are not too young to date. I'm sick and tired of the whole "you're too young for this and that" fiasco. Who are you to decide whether we're old enough to have feelings for someone? We know when we're ready, not you.

Do you really think your limited experience can match that of mine? Can you afford children without anyone's help? Yes, I have seen the tragidies of an attitude like yours. You don't know it all so just get over it.
