I have a Maytag Performa electric dryer that needs a new temperature control switch. I am talking specifically about the device that is behind the knob on the front panel that one dials to change the heat settings (high, medium, low, no heat). I am not talking about the knob.I am talking about the device that is behind the knob in the control panel. What I can't figure out is how to remove the device from the board. I can access the back of the device when I remove the control panel back. Looking at the back of the control panel, some of the devices/switches are connected to the board with screws. But the temperature control switch is not. It seems like it is snapped into place. I don't want to just pry if off as I am afraid I will crack the panel cover or something else. I suspect there is some lever to push or some certain way to pry it out but I am just missing something. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Regards, DAVE
