About 2 months ago I had a garnishment on my bank account. They froze it but I worked with the judgment recovery place and they released half of it back to me and we agreed to garnish the rest from my wages. This was on a civil judgement that I had no idea about. Since they did this, my rent was a month late and my apartment complex would not let me renew my lease because I needed the next months rent on top of what was currently owed. I have had to quit my job and relocate to another state because I was unable to stay there due to this whole garnishment. Now that the wage garnishment has been ordered but I am no longer employed, can they garnish my bank account again being that I am in another state now?

Yes.

What was the judgment about? Are you sure you had no idea about it?

Yes, they may garnish your bank account ( and don't expect them to work with you again since you quit you job, not merely getting another place to live)

And they may also just garnish the new place you go to work for.
