We just moved into an 18 year old colonial. The a/c is cold but the flow is very low. The home warranty company sent out a tech who said the system is working fine. The filter is clean and the compressor too. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ben

Typical for multi-floor.At least for me it has been.
Our home has many floors, the lower level I shut off the vents altogether, the cold will settle there eventually.
The positive airflow is reduced as it rises, cold air is heavier than hot.IF you have a reducer, say from the lower levels to the upper floors(which I would have to believe you do,in the walls no less), that is where the restricted airflow starts.
As a system is branched out the loss of flow is decreased over and over, with each split.
You should get more flow from the areas closest to the blower than farthest away.In some cases I have heard of ' boosters ' being installed in the feed pipes, but you would need an A/C person to describe that.
