Where can I locate my hot water heater pressure switch to resolve issue?

What type of water heating system are you referring to? On the usual domestic water heater there is no pressure switch. There is a temperature and pressure relief valve but that is not a switch.

I have a State Select home hot water heater. My Pilot Light will not stay lite. In reading the manual, trouble shoot problem reads "Pressure switch remained open longer than 5 seconds after the combustion blower was energized". Therefore, I attempted to locate the "pressure switch". As the Trouble Shoot solution reads "Pressure Switch wiring is incorrect / tubing not connected correctly or Air intake or exhaust obstructed.

Must be a high efficiency water heater with an exhaust fan. Not all that familiar with them. The switch would be probably be on the fan motor and have a small tub going to it. Does fan motor come on when burner comes on?

Yes, it does have an exhaust fan & a blower. Fan and blower both come on. Pilot light then ignites but quickly goes off. So, I then repeat the troubleshoot steps in the manual only to assume that I am flooding the tank because after a couple of tries, the pilot light stops igniting and I have to wait a couple hours before repeating steps again.

Thanks a lot for your assistance. I just contacted the Manufacturer. Guess this isn't one of those DIY jobs, so I'll be calling a professional.

Thx again ;-)
