Hello,

I am having trouble with the kitchen faucet in my new home. It is a single handle Kohler faucet and there is zero hot water pressure. The faucet works fine when turned to the right for cold water, but when twisted to the hot water pressure position, the flow of water drys up completely.

I took the cartridge in the faucet out and turned the hot water on, but there was still no pressure. Is this a result of a blockage in the stems or the valve below the sink? It seems odd that a blockage could completely stop the flow of hot water.

FWIW, the hot water works in the dish washer next to the sink.

Thanks,

Slacker

Close The hot angle valve under the sink and disconnect the supply line at the faucet, place it in a pane, open the angle valve see if you have water flow, if flow is good problem is with the faucet, if no flow disconnect the other end of the supply line at the angle valve if flow is good clean or replace the supply line, if no flow you have a bad angle valve now you need to shut main water valve to the house, remove the packing nut, get some help open the main valve and see if you are getting water, if you water coming out the problem is with angle valve, check the stem and the washer, see the image below, Thanks.
