I am breaking my 12 month lease because I can no longer afford the rent due to income loss. I have asked my landlord to go to month to month but the rent is her sole income and she will not work with me. To keep from defaulting on my rent. I told my landlord that I am vacating the house on September 30th. After reading my lease and showing it to two attorneys they both saw in my lease that there was no clause stating that I am responsible for rent after tenant breaches lease up to the end of lease. It only states that I am responsible to forfeit deposit and pay rent to up end of occupancy. Does this hold me to pay up to end of lease?

A lease is a contract. If the lease specifies that it runs to X date, then you are responsible for the rental up to that date. This is contract law 101! The lease does not have to say that you are, its implied as soon as there is an term to the contract.
