26) I have a bag of 3 red balls, 2 blue balls, and 3 yellowballs. A ball is picked at random and the replaced, after which a secon ball is picked. Find the probability tat the fist ball is red and the second is blue.

27) The same bag of balls is used as in problem 26, but this time a ball is picked and then kept (without replacement), after which a second ball is picked. Find the probability tha th first is lue and thescond is yellow.

26)

Remember that the probability of picking a ball of a certain colour is given by dividing the number of balls of the colour in question divided by the total number of balls.

For the first part, there are 3 red balls with a total of (3+2+3=) 8 balls. So the probability of having a red ball is given by:

P(red\ ball\ is\ picked) = \frac{3}{8}

Can you do the rest?

For the last question, the total number of balls changes, so be careful with this.

Post what you get :)
